Ramavath Dhan Singh hails from Jethyanaik Thanda, Devarakonda mandal in Nalgonda district where he did his primary education. Later schooling was done in MB High School and Intermediate education in Govt. Junior College in Devarakonda. He received Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil engineering in 1985 and Masters in Engineering in 1987 from the College of Engineering, Osmania University. He was directly recruited as Dy EE in Public Health & Municipal Engineering Department in the year 1987 through Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission. He served in GHMC and Public Health & Municipal Engineering Department in various capacities and retired as Engineer-in-Chief (PH). He also worked as the Executive Director of Telangana Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TUFIDC). He headed a number of infrastructure projects like Railway Over Bridges (ROBs), Railway Under Bridges (RUBs), fly overs with segmental/PSC girders technology, Road widening works, Nalla remodeling etc. in GHMC. He conceptualized, designed, procured the prestigious Strategic Road Development Project (SRDP) in GHMC in order to mitigate the traffic issues and also to create conflict fee corridors by using advanced technologies like composite/PSC girders under EPC mode of contract. He also partially implemented Comprehensive Storm Water Drainage Project in GHMC aimed at minimise the flooding. Under his guidance, latest technology of construction of roads with white topping was introduced in GHMC. Also in his tenure as EnC(PH), Water Supply and UGD projects under Mission Bagheeratha (Urban) & AMRUT were implemented wherein all the ULBs are integrated with state wide water grid to ensure sustainable drinking water supply in urban areas. He was instrumental in finalising DPRs for Underground Drainage & Storm Water Drainage projects in major Municipalities and Corporations in the state of Telangana.
