Prof.Bandi Linga Reddy S/O Krishna Reddy from Kandukuru village of Vemsoor Mandal in Khammam District. Carried out School education in ZPHS Kandukuru, Intermediate from SBS Junior college Sattupalli, BSc from SR & BGNR Degree college Khammam followed by MSc in solid state Physics and PhD (1992-1997) in the field radiation physics from Science college Osmania University Hyderabad. PhD is carried out under the guidance of Prof.K. Rama Reddy in the field of Environmental radiation measurements in BRNS project funded by department of Atomic energy. He was instrumental in establishing radiation assessment laboratory in the Department of Physics in Osmania University.

Joined as lecturer in Department of Physics, Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology in October 1996. Served as Associate Professor (2008-2016) and Professor (2016- 2021) .During the tenure of 25 years at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology taken various responsibilities to smooth function of the organisation such as Head Department of Physics , incharge for First year academics, and implementation of AICTE guidelines. Pioneer in conduction of Student Induction Program for Newly joined first year students as per AICTE guidelines. And also, part of several committees in administrative activities.

Published and presented several research papers in various National and International Journals and Conferences. Completed a research project funded by TSCOST and established radiation assessment laboratory in Department of physics, CBIT as well. Life member of International society of Radiation Physics.
