She began her long-professional career of thirty-one years in the state govt. as a Deputy Tahilsdar in Revenue Department, selected through Group-II (A) services examination conducted by erstwhile Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) in the year 1989.

She worked as Tahsildar of Manakondur and Bejjanki Mandals of Karimnagar District and also worked as Administrative Officer, Land Reforms, Nalgonda District. She also worked as Special Deputy Collector, Urban Land Ceiling, Hyderabad and later got posted as Revenue Divisional Officer, Narsampet, Warangal District. She was also posted as Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate, Vikarabad District and lastly as Joint Director, Bhu-Bharati. In addition to her parent department, she has taken up various positions in other departments like Women & Child Welfare, National Small Savings, Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP), Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), Forest Settlement, District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), District Water Management Agency (DWMA) and many others.

During her long career she has received many awards as she was awarded The Best District Officer as RDO, Narsampet; PD DRDA Adilabad and Joint Collector, Vikarabad. She has also won many accolades; one among them was by Chief Minister Shri K. Chandrashekar Rao Garu for her idea of voluntary service by all government employees for conducting Rashtra Samagra Survey in 2014.

She is also an avid reader of books mainly related to History and Telugu Literature. She has great interest in Gardening and Carnatic music.

She was appointed as a full-time member of Telangana Public Service Commission w.e.f 21st May, 2021.
